Stacking Statements

How to : Stack Statement Necklaces

I am very fond of accessories statement necklaces, rings and all other type of accessories. While I have been mostly flaunting statement rings on the blog I am very fond of statement neck pieces also. This post is entirely dedicated towards my love for accessories I would rather say chunky necklaces.
And of course  when stacked silver necklaces are talked about one cannot ignore DylanLex silver necklaces.Even before I was introduced to these dylanlex statement necklaces I was very fond of such type of silver jewellery. Around the globe, this type of jewellery can be found in many cultures Indian, African, Tibetan, Turkish etc each having their distinctive cultural traits in the designs. In India such jewellery is more popular in Gujarati and Rajasthani cultures and also few northern regions.

Here I have layered four necklaces out of which two are DIYs necklaces.I have been working on the two DIY necklaces for more than a month now and have worked really hard on them and that's why this post is very close to my heart. Assembling them did take a lot of time, but finding the right pieces took ages. Both the DIY necklaces are made from anklets and not from necklaces.I found it easier to work with anklets instead of necklaces.I went for Diy necklace because I had this particular design in mind and I didn't  want to compromise on the design and that is the essence of such necklaces. You need to have a specific design in your mind.
I really like this concept of stacked jewellery. Stacking jewellry is a delicate art form. There has to be a symphony of necklaces, uneven necklaces will just look garish and bizarre. Previously I have tried stacked rings and now I am trying my hand at stacked necklaces. Here is a quick crash course on how I have stacked these necklaces.

The base : Decide you base necklace carefully. The base necklace and the second necklace have to be a winner. It does not matter if you layer anything above or below these two necklaces will pave the way for the remaining necklaces.

Necklace 1 : Diy necklace made with anklets.

Necklace 2 : The coin necklace this one is a proper necklace and is borrowed from dear Mom's closet.

Necklace 3 : Diy necklace made from anklets.I have disfigured it so much that no one can tell these were anklets once.

Necklace 4 : Now even though this necklace goes on the top it is not the base necklace its like adding garnish to a dish just to complete the look.Is have altered the length of the chain so that it fits exactly before the base necklace.

One advice I would give for picking up such silver necklaces that is look for detailing on it.The design on the necklaces is what steals the show. While layering alter the lengths in case some necklace is not according to the required length.
So here you have some major stacked statement necklaces. And stack only that many necklaces you are comfortable with because it can get really heavy. The Diy necklaces have turned out better than I had expected and I will keep sharing different combinations with these necklaces on Instagram.

Sunny Glues

Top - Globus | Linen Pants - Cotton World | Bag - Forever New | Watch - Michael Kors | Rings,Earrings - Forever New | Wedges - Forever 21

Summers are very much settled now and the fabrics which I rely on in summers are cottons and linens and what better then a nice comfy linen trouser to save you from the summer heat.
As much as I love skinny jeans I equally love loose fitting and comfortable pants and now that the temperatures are heating up, wearing skinny jeans is not the best option.
A trusty pair of linen trousers is perfect for summers. The light fabric and loose cut of these trousers will keep you cool even in the hottest weather.
For those crop top lovers such high rise linen pants will go perfectly with your beautiful crop tops. I have worn these linen pants both with formal and casual looks.
Here I have thrown in a basic yellow tee over those pants keeping the look pretty easy.Usually we pair blacks and whites with grey, seldom do we go for yellows or pinks.I steered away from any heavy jewellery and added some light pastel accessories.
Do skip those skinny jeans on some days and indulge in the comfort of such light fabrics.

Little Treasures

     Midi rings - ALDO

I have always been a big fan of jewellery especially rings, I can never get enough of rings delicate, dainty to giant, oversized cocktail rings. This obsession of mine for beautiful rings has been since I was very young.

Midi rings or knuckle rings as you may like to call it are everywhere now. They are pretty easy to mix with your other jewellery.

The reason that this accessory is deserving an entire post is because I am totally enchanted with these delicate accessories. As you can see these midi rings have made an appearance in so many outfit posts on the blog.I love stacking them wearing them with other delicate rings.

In trend or not in trend these pretty little things have earned a permanent place in my jewellery box.

How to wear NEON

Bright, vivid, reflective, eyecatching colors Hot pink,Tangerine, citron yellow and lime green shades seem to be everywhere this season. If you are color shy this trend could be very intimidating hence the tagline Never Ever Overdo Neon.

There are ample ways to incorporate neon in your outfit

Accessorises
The most easiest way to sport neon is through accessories.Neon jewellery, hair accessories, sunglasses, bags, belts, shoes are easy and subtle ways to incorporate neon in your outfits.Start with small neon earings or series of bangles with that watch.

Neutrals
Pairing neon with neutrals you can never go wrong.Mixing with neutrals will tone down the outfit. This mix of colors will help each other as the neutral color will prevent you from going over the top and the neon item will spice up an otherwise boring outfit.

Check if the outfit fits you well. Since neon colors are extremely bold and eye-catching, they tend to make anyone look larger than they are. If you have a pear figure, use the neon colors for your top part. For apple shaped bodies feel free to use neon bottoms. If you have an ideal body shape with proper curves and slim legs, then wear neon on whichever zone you like.

A small chart to guide you on how to pair neon

Makeup
A supercharged pink lip is a great way to go neon in makeup.Pair it with a touch of black eyeliner and very light foundation.

A subtle streak of neon liner paired with a clean face can add a fun pop of color to your look. Try applying a fine line of electric blue, green or purple liner in a cat-eye style.

A neon manicure will go very well with a neutral outfit.bright corals,Oranges and Pinks are very wearable.
