Newfangled Nuances

Blazer - Zara | High waist jeans - Only | Tank top - Local Boutique | Platform Heels - Zara | Sunglasses - Prada | Lipstick - Mac Ruby Woo

Off lately I have been favoring high rise pants a lot as you all have seen in my recent posts.Since monsoons seemed to have taken a break a few days back I promptly came up with this look and found an excuse to wear denims. From trousers to skinny jeans and even shorts, all of these styles come with a high-waist alternative and are available in a wide spectrum now a days. Most of us might think its such an odd trend.Once you discover which styles suits you, you can experiment with different patterns.

When paired rightly they can be more flattering than you’d think.I have previously paired these high waist jeans with a crop top, which you can check on my Instagram profile. One can see the versatility of high rise pants by the variation of the looks I have created and that is the reason this style has become my new favourite. I have paired my high rise pleated trousers with a blouse here creating a illusion of a jumpsuit. The same pleated trousers I have paired with a crop top in my previous post. This style is surely a boon for petite girls because it gives a long, lean look and helps in creating an elongated frame.

After a really long time I am back to layering blazers on the blog. Its not time yet to get the fall blazers out, at such times a light weight thin fabric blazer is a suitable alternative. This white blazer is one of my recent sale finds. I was not very keen on picking up a white blazer but the long lapels, the blazer's length and especially the light fabric which makes it very monsoon appropriate caught my interest.

Also, I have never paired high waisted jeans with a long blazer hence I was eager to try this combination. To complete the look I have added a casual tank top, my favourite silver stacklaces (a word for stacked necklaces which I recently came across on Instagram) and platform heels. In case you want to know more about the stacked silver necklaces you can read this post Stacking Statements.

Hope I have given you enough reasons to steer away from low-cut jeans and enough pointers to embrace the high waist style.

Neutrality

Blazer - ASOS | Shirt - Topshop | Pants - Vero Moda | Shoes - Zara | Bag - Local Boutique |         Ring - Colaba | Watch - Michael Kors | Sunglasses - Tom Ford | On my lips - MAC Ruby Woo

Neutrals are those colors which form the building blocks of your wardrobe. They are very much trend-proof and flexible.
Basic neutral colours are black, grey, white, navy blue, brown, beige including hues and different shades of these colours.

Neutrals does not mean dull colors.Yes ladies lack of colour does not mean lack of style. As I said previously neutrals are the building blocks and most of the time we use neutrals to build our outfits. But constructing an outfit with neutrals only thats exactly what I have tried to create here, a very simple outfit with neutrals alone.

Black is such a classic colour and looks good on everyone. Those black skinnies, jeggings everyone will agree are you most versatile piece.

White another very versatile colour. Pair it with bright, neon, neutral tops or bottoms and it will look good with everything.

Beige now this colour is my personal favourite.I have already styled this colour in two different outfits here and here with totally different colour palette.

Adding a chunky necklace or bright coloured shoes is an interesting way to add some colour to a neutral outfit.

This here is my take on neutral colour blocking.

Orange Overload

Blazer,Shirt,Sandals - Zara | Pants - Vero Moda | Bag - Accessorize | Ring - Forever New | Frames - Forever 21 | Watch - Michael Kors

The hero of this outfit is my favourite these days this lovely orange blazer. This blazer is such an appealing piece.Usually I shy away from orange but in this case I have not regretted my decision, as the colour and the style of the blazer is astonishingly versatile in pairing. This blazer has totally changed my perspective towards orange.
The slight power shoulder action gives a boost to the look and has a strong visual impact.
I got this blazer several months back and since then have repeated it numerous times.Team it with a pair of jeans for meeting friends over coffee or with a dress for a meeting or a formal event or for a casual outing with a lovely floral dress or with those white shorts to add a touch of glamour it just elevates the look in seconds.I even wear it to office on casual days.
The fitting is so comfortable can be worn in almost any weather.
Usually for a casual day out I pair this blazer with a simple tank and jeans but here I have paired the blazer with a geometric printed shirt and blue pants keeping the accessories simple to maintain the blazer as the highlight of the outfit. This old school blazer shirt combination never fails you.

Try a blazer in a bright colour which you would usually shy away from and see if it works for you..

Plaided

            Blazer- Globus | Tank- Charlotte Russe | Jeans - Zara | Bag - Local Boutique | Watch-Guess | Frames,Rings - Forever21  | Lipstick - Inglot Matte AMC Lip Crayon No. 28

Plaid is one of those timeless and classic prints.Plaid is a versatile and fun piece to have in your wardrobe. In simplest terms, plaid clothing is little more than checked pattern garments that may be bold and bright, like a tartan, or somewhat more subdued. The key to wearing plaid is by pairing it with neutral and simple pieces or items that are in the same tone and hue as the print.Plaid influences can be seen every where be it clothing or accessories.Plaid can break a plain outfit when you want some pattern.
Here I have tried to maintain a similar hue across the outfit by teaming a grey plaid blazer with a black tank and light blue jeans. The puffed sleeves accentuate the femininity of the outfit. Also, one of my favourite bags these days which carry almost everywhere.

If you’re not looking to do an all-out plaid ensemble, you add accent touches to your look a little with some adorable plaid accessories such as a plaid scarf ,bags, flats, hair accessories.Look for plaid fabrics to add to your wardrobe and get ready to stand out and don that plaid outfit.
